FIFTY PERCENT! That is the percentage that youth accounts for India’s population. The number roughly comes to 1.1 billion, 18% of the world’s population, and that is a lot of rigour, intelligence and power which can be put to good use. The youth and children combined constitute 40% of the world’s population.
Hence, if the previous era of development belonged to infrastructure revolution and technology advancement; the next one belongs to youth and child empowerment. The future of the world lies in the hands of the young brigade. Empowering, educating and emboldening them is extremely important for India to move forward.
Started in 2005, YUVA Unstoppable is a registered non goverment organization working for the less privileged children of India through mobilization of youth and resources. In the last 8 years, YUVA Unstoppable has mobilized more than 100,000 volunteers and has benefited 240,000 less privileged kids, and we are continuallyworking towards increasing that number.
YUVA Unstoppable volunteers spend 2 hours every week in municipal schools and slums to educate and empower less privileged kids.
